Somewhere along the way, I decided that pushing headlong into my desire was the way to make it all happen.
Note the word “pushing.” I don’t know about you, but more often than not, anytime I “push” it does not typically result in a feeling good situation. Except maybe for the birth of my daughters, but that is an entirely different story.
Sure, sometimes we need to lean with the full weight of our being to get the flow going, but when we hold that energy pattern for too long, the result can be rather disastrous.
(It’s no coincident that in exploring my energy in the ROOT CHAKRA all of this stuff started coming up for me. If you missed how yoga & your root chakra are connected to your creativity, click HERE.)
The last month has been a great experiment in flow vs. force in that I have completely surrendered my old habit of burning the midnight oil at all costs to accomplish x, y, & z. Instead, I have rested my bones & my soul as much as possible. I have enjoyed the space that comes with it in a way I have not remembered since I was a young child.
& my creativity feels ready to explode because of it.
The trick is to not feed back into that old way of thinking, to know that there will be time to do all that spins & whistles in the brim of my brain & hull of my heart.
No, jumping up & running marathon style to attain goal A, B & C (& maybe E, F & G while I’m at it) after several weeks of really feeling the deliciousness of going slow, of five minute naps & daydreams, of not filling every minute with something to be done is something I think could be quite beneficial to my personal energetic force field that flows best in my own bones.
What about you? Do you give yourself time to rest? How’s your energy feeling these days? Can you fine tune it if necessary to best get the flow your bones want?
Stay tuned as we dive back into the chakra system & the energy of your sacrum… so much good swimming to be done in those waters to be sure!
