Do not panic. Learn & lean.
We’re picking up some steady momentum as we flow our way forward to the realm of greater prosperity & abundance. So far, we know that we’ve got to NAME OUR NICHE, HONE IN, CLOCK IN, & CREATE A FRAMEWORK to get that mojo going.
Plenty to keep us busy, no doubt.
In fact, that may just be enough for now. You’ll get a sense of that as you begin to address all the elements of this 11 part “plan.”
No need to throw yourself into overwhelm.
Though one might say that this could very well be where you start to feel overwhelm creeping up on you. You’ll be in the notorious place in the process of motoring along at a steady clip- only to drive headlong into a wall, ditch or right off the edge of a cliff.
Lucky for you, you’ve got built-in parachutes, an extra set of rough terrain wheels & the biggest bumper in the history of metaphoric mobiles ever made. (Did I just make a joke about your big bumper? Sorry).
In short, do not panic. This is not only normal, after a while, you’ll come to anticipate it. Instead of sitting there scratching your head in wonder or worry, you’ll do what any resourceful creative being does. You break out essential number 4:
LEARN & LEAN.
Shake the dust & get yourself busy figuring out just what it is you need to make it all a GO. Do a Google search, watch a YouTube video, subscribe to some newsletters that focus on the things that have got you pondering.
Take an e-course, download e-books, sign up for a mastermind session. The options are virtually endless (pun intended).
Or get yourself out into the “real” world & interact with people vis a vis, learning from them what they’ve got. A workshop. A jam session. A conference. Get out in the mix , listen to the message & take it all in.
Give it time. You’ll figure it out.
Just be mindful not to sign up for more than you can realistically handle. TMI, or too much information, isn’t a strictly reserved comeback to the tidbits of personal history or odd bodily functions you’d rather not know about. Information overload will lead you right back into overwhelm.
Trust me, I am SO familiar with this. I spent the last three months signing up for every newsletter I could find out there to help bring me up to speed on the modern technology of marketing & their platforms. (The better to reach YOU, my dears). After about a month and a half, I was ready to cry or quit. Actually, both.
How I dealt with it was by deciding which of the resources really rung my bell.
In short, the ones that spoke the language I speak & in a way I could both hear & understand it. Then I kindly thanked the others & unsubscribed, clearing out both my inbox & my head at the same time.
When I get to a place where I feel “ready” to move forward, I will likely sign up for a masterclass from David Risley of Blog Marketing Academy, who is helping me understand the current day rules of the blogging road. In my opinion, his (free) 30 Day Challenge was exceptional, & I’m pretty certain his Blog Marketing Academy is, too.
If all of this research feels like just too darn much, there’s also the good ol’ fashioned method of ASKING FOR HELP.
Post out a shout-out on your favorite social media platform, or pick up the phone & start calling those folks that you know know a thing or two about a thing or two.
Hired hands can go a long way in getting you where you want to go. & sometimes you’ll just be lucky enough to be smothered with some “I’m doing it ’cause I like you” love- The sort of support that can be extremely useful when the budget & morale are low. Just remember to pay it forward when you can, because being in service to more than just little ol’ wonderful you is where the REAL mojo gets going.
If none of these things are resonating for you at this time, you could always take a nap. It can really work wonders.
Just don’t hit snooze too many times. Momentum, dear maestro, is nearly everything…
